I’m so tired of political commercials. I think they’re an assault. lol
Seriously, though. I was thinking about them as they were on, trying to drown them out with my thoughts and I came to thinking… Maybe there should be a premium subscription to get rid of political ads. I bet that the media companies would make a killing on that and it would give us the opportunity to breathe.
As someone from the US, I’m disillusioned by politics.
Getting that out in print felt nice. But, let’s be real here. At least in the presidential elections, it’s completely frustrating to even go out and vote, let alone learn anything about the candidates. It’s all propaganda. There isn’t any openness and honesty from these people. I want to know who I am voting for. I am not voting for the idea of someone ideal. I am voting for a real person. That vote should matter, and I mean that in multiple ways.
I feel dissatisfied with not only the electoral college, but also the two-party system. Both of these qualities of our electoral process takes power away from the people who are doing the voting. It takes it away from the people affected by the decisions being made.
Nothing in life is black or white. If you look into quantum physics, sometimes reality isn’t even black or white, it’s this hazy-complicated-gray color. The universe, the world, and certainly our lives are very complicated and complex. To narrow down the options to just two people is going to almost certainly produce extreme outputs. Think about it.
Isn’t it born into a dichotomic paradigm that they produces extreme examples of polar opposites? I don’t think that is fair. I don’t like that. Think about it. A dichotomy representing a chaotic gray cloud of political potential. It doesn’t make sense, to me at least.
