Lazy Day Freedom

Daily writing prompt
Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive?

This is an interesting writing prompt. Do lazy days make me feel more rested or unproductive? Ultimately, both. But that doesn’t detract from how much I enjoy my lazy days. Today was not one of those days. I had to drive into town to go to a doctors appointment. I’m currently on my way home, and have a phone interview at 3:00 pm which I will probably answer while still driving back home. The job is a work-from-home job, so I’m super excited to start it. It isn’t in AI, instead I’ll be doing phone surveys with farmers.

Anyway, back to the writing prompt. Lazy days definitely make me feel unproductive. I’m feeling unproductive right now, because I could be working but instead I’m writing a blog post. Oh well, I haven’t written in my blog in a while. I’ve been too busy playing Diablo IV in my free time. It’s a fun game, especially since they don’t require you to go through the storyline. I skipped the storyline so I’m able to roam and do quests freely, which I like. I like a lot of independence. I guess that’s why I enjoy lazy days. For the independence.

On lazy days, there isn’t anyone telling you what to do. I think that helps in a big way to make me feel relaxed. But, if I’m being honest with myself, even on lazy days I don’t fully relax. I’ve got too much on my mind. Which is probably why the universe keeps telling me to meditate.

Well, I have about 10 minutes before that call comes through. I’m going to find a featured image for this post and publish it. Feel free to leave a comment telling me your thoughts on lazy days.

  2. I know what you mean! I have rest days and usually feel more exhausted than if I’ve been writing! But I need the rest days where I don’t go online or do any serious writing as it unwinds my brain and refreshes me. Listening to music for 3-4 hours solid usually helps me unwind properly…
