I’m looking forward to this weekend. There’s a lot to do, but there’s a lot to be joyful about.
Website Redesign For A Friend

This weekend, I will be talking to a friend about redesigning her business’s website. We’re going to discuss making it more professional and up-to-date. I have about 11 documents drafted for that, so hopefully we’re able to iron out all of the details and get things rolling for her. We’re also going to hopefully have time to discuss advertising strategies. I’m really excited to provide her with a professional website and I hope it’s able to give her more business. This will be great for my portfolio!
Reconnecting & Dinner With A Friend
This week, I was able to reconnect with an old friend in person. I’m hoping that we can set aside some time to go out to eat this weekend. She has a lot of experience in many of the areas of life with which I’m dealing. I will leave it at that because she likes her privacy. In short, I’m super pumped to spend some more time with her because she is an awesome friend! I have been very fortunate in my life to have a lot of loving and caring people surround me.
Dungeons & Dragons: Session 0

Speaking of which, there’s someone that I’m hoping to connect with on a deeper level this weekend. Someone that I met through circumstances that required us to maintain a certain level of distance. This weekend, I plan on setting aside some time to connect. They’re involved in a Dungeons & Dragons group, so we’re planning on doing a session 0 for me, which is the beginning. I think it involves the character creation.
Session 0 in Dungeons & Dragons is a pre-game session that players and the Dungeon Master (DM) have to establish expectations, discuss character options, set the tone for the campaign, and more. It is an important session to have to ensure that everyone is on the same page and that the campaign will be enjoyable for everyone involved.
Here are some of the things that are typically discussed during a Session 0:
- Expectations: What kind of campaign is the DM running? What kind of tone and atmosphere are they going for? What are the players’ expectations for the campaign?
- Character creation: Players will create their characters, including their race, class, background, and personality. They will also discuss their characters’ goals and motivations.
- Worldbuilding: The DM will introduce the players to the world in which the campaign will take place. They will discuss the geography, history, culture, and magic system of the world.
- Rules and mechanics: The DM will go over the basic rules and mechanics of the game with the players, such as how to roll dice, how to resolve combat, and how to use magic.
- Safety and consent: The DM and players will discuss safety tools and consent guidelines to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and safe at the table.
Here are some additional topics that may be discussed during a Session 0:
- Trigger warnings: Players may want to discuss any triggers that they have so that the DM can avoid them in the campaign.
- Inclusivity: The DM and players may want to discuss ways to make the campaign more inclusive and welcoming to everyone.
- Homebrew rules: The DM may want to introduce any homebrew rules that they will be using in the campaign.
- Session scheduling: The DM and players may want to discuss how often they will be playing and when they will be meeting.
Session 0 is an important part of any D&D campaign. By taking the time to discuss expectations, create characters, and build the world, the DM and players can create a campaign that is enjoyable for everyone involved.
Reorganizing The Basement
My great-aunt also said that this weekend, we would set aside time to make my area in the basement more comfortable. I’m looking forward to that not only because alone time is important to me, but also because as it stands, my cousin has a lot of stuff in the basement. Which, I’m content with the way it is but if we’re able to make it more amenable to my living here for a month or two longer, it will make my recovery and therapy easier. I think I may spend some time putting my clothes away tonight, just to get a start. If I can fold and put them away, they’ll be much easier to move as opposed to the pile they’re in within the laundry basket. I also hope that Bubba will appreciate a little reorganizing in the basement. He prefers it down there, probably because at the beginning of his life he spent a lot of time in a basement because the house he lived within had a lot of other pets. Alone time is important to him too.

Time For Work
Aside from all the above, I am also hoping to get some more work in for the AI-related work that I do. I also want to do some work on my blogs/websites to improve them. After I get my friend’s business website done, I’m going to redo my website. It’s pretty basic and was just an experiment with the new program (Nicepage) I got to see all of the features it comes with. Hopefully, I can upgrade it soon, it comes with more features then. But there are also other things I want to buy and need to buy, and some debts I would like to pay off. In therapy, we do a weekend schedule just to ensure we don’t fall back into old habits. In this weekend schedule, I blocked out 6 hours for work or so. 2-3 hours for web development. 2-4 hours for videogaming. Basically, we have to fill every hour block. I think it’s a technique that I’m going to carry into my day-to-day life.
