Quite frankly, I have very little in the way of an approach to budgeting. I suppose the biggest way in which I budget is that I leave all of my money in my savings and only move it into my checking when I want to spend it. However, it needs to be said that there is usually very little in my savings to begin with.
As you’ve probably determined by this point, I’m very bad at starting or maintaining a budget of any kind. I have a tendency to spend money impulsively. I think this is in part due to my BPD. One of the symptoms of BPD is impulsivity. That includes spending money impulsively.
I really should set a goal to learn how and implement a budget. It would be easier to do that if I had a stable income. Right now, what little money I earn is spent as quickly as it comes in. There are so many things that I need that I couldn’t hold onto a dollar if my life depended on it. Thinking more deeply about it, my life depends on me spending the money I get. That’s why they’re called necessities, right?
Maybe tonight I will get ambitious and download a resolution app and make a resolution to learn how to properly budget money. I’ll probably be up all night since I slept all day today. So, why not make it a productive evening, right?
